Prejudice and discrimination harms individuals, communities and society. The Anne Frank Trust UK is an education charity that uses Anne Frank’s life and diary to empower young people with the knowledge, skills and confidence to challenge all forms of prejudice and discrimination.

We partner with schools, local authorities, criminal justice education services and others, to deliver education to young people in a variety of settings, predominantly in schools. Our interactive and impactful programme includes an exhibition of Anne Frank’s life and diary, combined with workshops, peer education and an ambassador programme.

We are looking to fill the following role:

London Regional Manager.

As one of two Regional Managers in London, you will co-manage and deliver our work in London, working primarily in educational settings to deliver programmes which include workshops and peer education training. Most work will be in secondary schools, but some will be in primary schools or be community-based. Some activities will be based around the travelling exhibition Anne Frank: A History for Today. You will have sole responsibility of our programme Switch Off Prejudice in London.

The role is full time (37.5hrs per week). Salary for this role is £25,000 per annum.

TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of the Regional Manager will include:

  1. Managing projects as directed by the Head of Education Deliver and other members of the Senior Management Team with support from Freelance Educators.
  2. Working to time and achieving targets.
  3. Creating and maintaining relationships with schools and other partners
  4. Delivering training to young people to act as peer educators, and delivering a range of educational workshops on related issues to other young people in both formal and informal educational settings
  5. Managing and running the Anne Frank Ambassadors programme
  6. Building and deconstructing the exhibition (light manual work)
  7. Assessing and evaluating all work as directed
  8. Ensuring the safety of young people under your supervision
  9. Undertaking training

CORE COMPETENCES, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Considerable experience of working with young people in an educational or youth work setting
  2. Experience of managing and delivering projects on time and within budget
  3. An understanding of significant issues that affect the lives of young people in London.
  4. Understands and is passionate about the aims of the Trust.
  5. A good standard of written and spoken English
  6. Good communication skills
  7. Ability to work as part of a small team and from home
  8. Supportive, reliable, punctual and a good ambassador for the Trust
  9. Professional presentation
  10. A willingness to travel around the region and nationally
