Impact Hub King’s Cross is expanding its core team, following a series of successful years, and is looking for an energetic and highly motivated
Evening Space & Event Host
to join the team. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about helping build communities of social entrepreneurs and who ideally has a background in hospitality. The successful candidate will work within our Hosting Team to deliver services to members, manage events and the café as well as overseeing the smooth running and closure of the space.
Details
- Contract is 37.5 hours (full-time) but part time options could be considered.
- Hours 2pm to 10pm but start time is negotiable.
- The contract is for 1 year, renewable with a 3 month probation period.
- Starting Salary is £21,000 per annum full time, plus pension and annual bonus of up to 10% of annual salary.
- Holidays allowance is 25 days plus National Bank Holidays.

Evening Space & Event Host duties
- Managing the delivery of events with the Event Manager and freelance event staff
- Being responsible along with the core team to drive events and café sales
- Working with the Sunrise Café Host to ensure the smooth running of the café, delivering the highest possible level of service and food and hygiene standards
- Managing the reception area including answering and fielding telephone calls
- Welcoming and registering guests, visitors and meeting room users
- Setting up meeting rooms for evening bookings including setting up tech and preparing refreshments
- Developing a positive relationship with members to contribute towards building and maintaining the community
- Guaranteeing Health & Safety standards and contributing to the general maintenance of the building
- Ensuring the smooth closing of the space
Person Specification
Essential Experience
- At least 2 years experience in hospitality and/or events
- A problem solving attitude and operational mindset
- A friendly demeanour and positive attitude towards the public
- Exceptional communication skills
Desirable Experience
- Enthusiasm for the social economy and values driven business
- Interest in growing within the team and taking on more responsibility according to ability
