streetfootballworld is a global NGO that harnesses the power of football to tackle some of the greatest social challenges of our time. The organisation’s work supports an international network of over 120 grassroots organisations that use football as a tool to address deep-rooted community issues, ranging from refugee integration in Ireland to gender equality in Kenya. Collectively, the network empowers more than two million disadvantaged young people per year.

Generation Amazing is a Corporate Social Responsibility programme that fulfils Qatar’s promise to use hosting of the 2022 FIFA World Cup TM as a catalyst to empower and educate people in need across the region and beyond. Generation Amazing will work with football for good organisations to support ongoing social development programmes, strengthen football infrastructure, organise football festivals and engage youth ambassadors. The overall aim of Generation Amazing is to transform local communities, empower young people to overcome disadvantages and contribute to a new era of social responsibility in world football.

To help us unleash the unique potential of football for good, we are looking for a passionate

Project Manager – Programmes and Monitoring & Evaluation (f/m)

to join our team in Berlin. 

Your Responsibilities

  • You coordinate the implementation of Generation Amazing programmes by local community partners in multiple countries in the Middle East and Asia, including the implementation of accompanying train-the-trainer programmes and the adaptation of supporting curricula. 
  • You ensure the development and delivery of all monitoring and evaluation (M&E) processes connected to the Generation Amazing elements, including programmes, infrastructure, ambassadors and events. 
  • You are responsible for coordinating the development of the necessary M&E technology for the implementation of the monitoring and evaluation process. 
  • You are responsible for the procurement and coordination of programme and M&E consultants and service providers and are responsible for the relevant project budgets.
  • You work with local community partners to ensure the implementation of programmes and M&E processes on the ground, including necessary training, support and monitoring. 
  • You lead all necessary reporting processes towards the Supreme Committee for the implementation of Generation Amazing.
  • You work closely with members of the wider organisation to ensure an alignment of all M&E processes across the organisation.

Your Profile

  • You have a university degree in international development, sports management, social sciences, or a related field of studies.
  • You have strong project management experience (5+ years) with at least three years in M&E, programme oversight or international development. Professional experience in the field of football/sport for good and knowledge of programmes and curricula is a plus.
  • You are very knowledgeable about state-of-the-art technology and techniques in monitoring and evaluation of social impact programmes and have experience in facilitating workshops and implementing tools with organisations on the ground. 
  • You possess strong project management skills and are experienced in reporting large-scale and multi-stakeholder projects to donors.
  • You have extensive experience working in different cultural environments and in international project teams, ideally with a focus on the Middle East and Asia. 
  • You are fluent in English and have excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Proficiency in additional languages is a strong asset. 
  • You have good knowledge of standard office software and you are familiar with creating databases, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • You are a self-motivated and open-minded team player who likes to work together with people from different intercultural backgrounds and identifies strongly with our cause.
  • You are willing and able to travel regularly.
  • You have a valid work permit for / are eligible to work in Germany.
