Femna creates natural products based on medicinal herbs for women. We work with leading experts to design, produce and sell products for women, to help them through the various womanly symptoms they experience throughout life. Our products focus on menstruation, PMS, fertility and menopause, with a pregnancy line in development. We sell through our own online store, via Amazon, and in various retail stores and pharmacies throughout Germany and Switzerland, for now. We also like to inject a little humour in everything we do, and along the way break some of the taboos that still exist about what it is to be female.
Why we do it:
Our goal is to make women’s lives happier and easier, naturally. We believe that ailments like menstrual cramps, PMS, cycle fluctuations and menopause discomfort need not be tackled with popping pills all the time. Femna is bringing the huge and growing market of herbal medicine out of the dark ages, and into the digital one. We want to become the leader in natural female health, and a trusted portal for women who want to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
What we are looking for:
At Femna we do different things differently. We’re spontaneous, flexible, and at the same time highly driven and passionate about what we do. We’re open for new ideas, and all opinions are listened-to and appreciated. We’re not interested in your school grades – we’re more interested in the things mentioned below to make sure you’d be a good fit for our team:
- Proactive (not reactive) mindset
- Hungry for responsibilities and tasks
- Able to work in a fast pace business environment
- Sharp team skills
- Cheerful personality
- Intercultural communication
- Can work independently and take initiative
Everyone in our team is required to possess these superpowers:
You love meeting new people and building relationships.
You love creating and developing new relationships. You aren’t intimidated by meeting new people; in fact you thrive in a new environment.
You have a keen eye for detail
You’re not a perfectionist but appreciate things being done in the best way possible. You can spot key areas for improvement as well as areas of significant potential.
You’re a great communicator
You understand how to communicate well with people of all ages and from all walks of life. People understand you clearly and you are able to get your message across in a simple, concise and clear manner.
You’re creative and innovative
We’re committed to creating innovative ways to connect people with our work. You love working in a creative, inventive environment and you love sharing your ideas as well as helping others develop theirs.
You’re self-motivated and can work in a startup environment
You can motivate yourself to get the job done without the need for constant attention. You’ll be required to take initiative and make your own decisions, whilst at the same time be able to take direction when needed.
What you get from it:
We are here to support your learning and offer you invaluable real-life experience in a fast-growing and creative startup. We know that we can’t compete with the big companies on salary or lunch specials, but what we lack in big dollar packages we make up for in positive and supportive environment, constant mentoring and learning in business and personal development. We’re agile and proactive to jump onto new ideas and opportunities – we give you the freedom and support to create and develop.
Join us if you want more creative freedom, opportunity and responsibility than in any other role. Join us if you’ve got the skills and talents that are ready to be applied in a fun, supportive, hard working team. If you’re willing to push yourself to grow, and do things you’ve never done before, if you say yes to things even if you’re not sure how to do it, then join us. You’ve got the ability to make stuff happen and we’ll support you to do it. We’re a start-up – our resources are precious and we’re constantly asked to make magic with what we’ve got – we don’t complain, we just do it (with love).
