We’re looking for a passionate
Chief Marketing and Communications Officer
to join our team in Berlin. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of an inspiring cause with a tangible impact. You will build up a global brand together with great colleagues and use your strengths to achieve something meaningful.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead the communications team and represent it within the executive team
- Co-create our communications strategy together with the team and help implement it (e.g. How does our story and message advance our strategic objectives? What kind of marketing and engagement strategy will we need? How shall we communicate our message?)
- Define the Ecosia brand and ensure our story is communicated consistently and powerfully across all our channels and campaigns
- Find new ways of growing our international user-base, measure the success of our efforts and distribute resources accordingly in order to reach our ambitious growth targets
- Nurture an amazing team culture and help to build up systems and roles that empower the team to do great work
- Counsel and mentor the team across a broad range of disciplines and facilitate the personal and professional development of your team members
What you bring
- At least 5 years in a leadership position in marketing and communications
- Proven track-record of leading high-impact global marketing and communications initiatives with measurable results
- Solid experience in all important areas of communications (e.g. social media, PR, paid marketing, user engagement, audience growth, customer support, business development)
- First-hand experience in building an international brand and significantly growing a company’s user-base
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams, developing talent, and creating systems for creative and sustainable workflows
- Knowledge of the start-up, tech, environmental and social business scene is a plus
- You share our core values and care deeply about our mission
- You can speak and write English fluently (German not required)
