For the 1 in 6 people with arthritis in the UK, arthritis attacks what it means to live. Arthritis Care and Arthritis Research UK merged on 1 November 2017 because we believe that together we can overcome the pain, isolation and fatigue of arthritis. The new charity, created by coming together, will combine the best of both and provide high quality arthritis care, arthritis research, a louder arthritis voice and greater funding for arthritis. We will invest in breakthrough treatments, the best information and vital support for everyone affected by arthritis. Our ambition is to integrate cutting edge research with the expertise and growing involvement of people with arthritis to make everyday life better for all 10 million people living with these conditions across the UK.
The next few years represent a unique opportunity for the charity to do more, more effectively, to positively impact on the lives of people with arthritis across the UK and everyone who works for us will have important role to play in our transformation.
