Oxford Saïd is seeking to recruit a Programme Manager, Developing Talent, for its Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship, which has become one of the leading academic centres in social entrepreneurship.

Central to this role is delivering the first year of the new Impact Lab, an elective co-curricular certificate programme for Oxford MBA students pursuing careers as socially entrepreneurial leaders. This new programme creates a cohort of impact-focused students, guiding them through a series of workshops, events and applied experiences alongside the main MBA curriculum. Some components of the Lab will also be open to other non-MBA graduate students at the University of Oxford. The post-holder will take the lead in evaluating the success of this pilot and designing future iterations of the Lab.

Alongside the Lab, this role will also coordinate with others to contribute to the design of the GOTO (Global Opportunities and Threats) programme, a core course engaging MBA and EMBA students in tackling complex social and environmental challenges; and Map the System, a global multi-University competition that encourages students to dive deeply into issue areas they care about to uncover levers for systemic change.

In addition to these core educational offerings, the Programme Manager will be responsible for scoping and delivering a range of other initiatives as required to inspire and support social entrepreneurship amongst other key audience groups within Oxford. These may include workshops, hackathons and speaker series. As the role evolves, there may also be opportunities to be involved with the development of digital and executive education offerings designed to reach wider audiences.

The successful candidate will ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent and be familiar with the academic environment, notably the core areas of social entrepreneurship/intrapreneurship and social innovation. Exceptional organisational skills are a must, as are excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and develop relationships, communicate effectively and gain the confidence of a wide range of people of diverse social and cultural backgrounds. You should have experience of starting or managing social enterprise programmes and educational events in complex environments, along with supervisory experience.

This is a fixed-term appointment until July 2021. The salary is £31,604 – £38,833 with a discretionary range to £42,418.

The deadline for applications is 12.00 midday on 24 September 2018.
