Manager Environmental & Social Management (m/f/d)
Key responsibilities:
- Provide oversight and direction to the E&S team
- Lead the continuous refinement and implementation of our funds’ Environmental and Social Management Systems (ESMS)
- In cooperation with investment teams, coordinate E&S due diligences and monitoring of investees
- Oversee E&S data collection and analysis for performance reporting
- Lead exchange on impact and sustainability matters with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage external service providers
- Keep track of upcoming regulatory requirements (e.g. EU Taxonomy, TCFD) as well as the evolving approach of International Financial Institutions to E&S and assess the implications for the company
What we expect:
- University studies (Bachelor/Master) in environmental studies, natural resource management, geography or other relevant disciplines
- Sufficient relevant work experience
- Knowledge of international good practice for private sector management of sustainability risks
- Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking
- Well-developed leadership skills
- Ability to manage and follow up on multiple work-streams and work under time pressure
- Flexibility and a team player
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Fluency in other languages of Finance in Motion’s countries of operation is an asset
- Demonstrable commitment to Finance in Motion´s vision/mission
