As a federal company, GIZ supports the Federal Government in achieving its goals in international cooperation for sustainable development.
Job description
Digital change is bringing sweeping change at an economic, political and societal level throughout the globe. The digital transformation continuously changes the way we work, offering new opportunities and business potential, yet posing considerable challenges too.In many countries on the African continent, access to learning content and lifelong learning opportunities remains a challenge, particularly for disadvantaged groups with diverse educational backgrounds. With their existing learning formats, educational institutions in developing and emerging countries in Africa do not reach large parts of the population. As a consequence, these groups are denied precious knowledge and competencies needed e.g. in the respective labour markets. Our project ‘atingi: Pan-African Digital Learning Platform’, which is initiated and funded by the BMZ, aims to ensure that innovative digital knowledge products and learning opportunities reach people in the partner countries in Africa more effectively and on an open and broader scale. It focuses on the dissemination of high-quality methods and offerings of digital learning and on the use of innovative technologies. These technologies will also be leveraged for a data-driven and evidence-based expansion of these offerings.
