Excited to create impact together?

Throughout its first seven years, Impact Hub Berlin has built an extensive network and strong expertise in supporting social entrepreneurs and organisations to design, build, and scale impactful solutions to the SDGs. For 2021, we have even bigger plans.

Our Marketing & Communications Work Area is our vehicle for telling the world about our community (communications) and encouraging others to join us (marketing). You’ll be joining us at a key moment in our growth journey.

Role and responsibilities

As Marketing Manager, you’ll work collaboratively with our Communications Manager to plan and create content that connects, enables and inspires our network to take action. Your main role will be to shape our marketing strategy, helping to increase and maintain our sales of memberships (both coworking and digital), office space, and consultancy services. Your other main responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing creative marketing campaigns (email, social media and physical) aimed at boosting our sales.
  • Creating and executing a marketing funnel for your Sales Work Area colleagues to follow up on.
  • Setting up and running a slick, automated analytics process that allows you to see what works, and to constantly tweak and improve our methods.
  • Lead our public relations and positioning activities, including securing relevant press coverage, media partnerships, awards and speaker opportunities.
  • Create awesome marketing content for all our channels, with the support of our team and occasionally freelancers or agencies.
  • Managing and reporting on our marketing budget to ensure that all the organisation’s needs are met.

You’d make an amazing Marketing Manager if:

  • You have a collaborative, proactive and ‘can-do’ attitude (this is the most important thing!).
  • You ideally have 5+ years experience of working in a marketing role – even better if in a relevant industry.
  • You can show proven experience of leading a marketing strategy at a similar-sized organisation, as a freelancer or as part of an agency.
  • You have an eagle eye for detail, and are proficient in both creating engaging written and visual content, and working with third parties on larger deliverables.
  • You know your way around most of our preferred digital tools and platforms (Google Suite, WordPress, Canva, Asana, Buffer). Any Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system experience is a plus.
  • You have an interest in the world of sustainability and social innovation; align with our values of collaboration, trust and courage; and can contribute to an open and empathetic team culture.
  • You have the right to work in the EU, and are based in or willing to relocate to Berlin (unfortunately we’re not able to sponsor a visa for this position).

What we offer

  • The chance to work flexibly and autonomously, and to make your mark on this role and the wider organisation.
  • Integration within the Impact Hub local and global network of over 16,000 members and 1,200 makers (employees).
  • The freedom to work from any other Impact Hub in the world for three days per month.
  • Full-time access to our coworking facilities in Berlin, complete with refreshments, regular community meals and events.
  • A dedicated learning budget of 500 EUR per year to spend on your professional development as you choose.

How to apply

Fill out our application form by Sunday 25th April 2021, 23:59 CEST (have your CV and a one-page cover letter ready) and contact jobs@impacthub.berlin if you have any questions. We look forward to receiving your application!

We strongly encourage applicants from all backgrounds and demographics to apply. If you don’t meet all of the above criteria but feel you can still make a strong case for yourself, please get in touch – we’d be happy to hear you out.
