Job description
In developing and emerging countries, access to lifelong learning opportunities is scarce and remains a challenge, particularly for disadvantaged groups with diverse educational backgrounds. At atingi, our vision is a world in which digital learning is inclusive, accessible, relevant, safe and secure for all. Our project ‘atingi: Pan-African Digital Learning Platform’ aims to ensure that innovative digital knowledge products and learning opportunities reach people in the partner countries in Africa and across the globe more effectively and on an open and broader scale. It focuses on the dissemination of high-quality methods and offerings of digital learning and on the use of innovative technologies. These technologies will also be leveraged for a data-driven and evidence-based expansion of these offerings.
Your tasks
Your tasks as an intern on our team are primarily related to the further development, design and implementation of atingi:
- Participation in the conceptualisation and fine-tuning of projects in the area of digital learning
- Support of the cooperation with external initiatives and international partner organisations
- Participation in activities related to field work and research (e.g. data collection)
- Support of drafting and finalising of information and learning material
- Support of the use and further development of the digital learning platform atingi.org, including user support
- Assistance in the management of e-learning development by external service providers
- Support of the project team in preparing events and stakeholder workshops.
- Additionally, you assist in the general day to day business of the project team and take on organisational tasks
Your profile

- You have successfully completed a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of international cooperation / international relations, education or social sciences or applied computer studies. We also welcome all motivated and committed applicants from related disciplines
- You have great interest in digital learning and the potential that new technologies can have on the digitalization of the education sector
- Knowledge or experience in international cooperation / international relations are of advantage
- You have strong analytical skills and you are computer literate, far beyond MS Office
- You have the ability and readiness to learn quickly and to efficiently dive into new topics in a self-organised fashion
- You like to work in the team and take initiative, you also excel working independently
- Proven interpersonal and intercultural competence and high communication skills are important to us
- You are fluent in written and spoken English and German; knowledge of French is an advantage

We pay a monthly stipend of €1.652,- (gross).
