As part of our work, we run the Donor Trackerplatform, a free, online resource that seeks to unlock advocacy potential by providing access to high-quality strategic information on development financing, policy, and decision-making for the 14 largest OECD donor countries.
About your role
As the Content Hub Lead, you will be a lead member of the Donor Tracker team within SEEK and will be responsible for coordinating, curating, and shaping the Donor Tracker’s content to maximize its usefulness to global development advocates. You must be passionate about global development and cutting-edge analysis to support winning advocacy strategies. You must be an experienced writer and editor capable of communicating complex ideas and findings clearly and concisely to an informed audience. We are looking for a Content Hub Lead interested in being a thought leader on global development policy and funding trends and for someone keen to innovate the Donor Tracker’s thematic content and digital formats. For this role, you must enjoy working in teams that drive the delivery of innovative and results-oriented solutions and be a committed self-starter, with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Main Responsibilities
- Drive production and further development of all content published on the Donor Tracker (e.g. Donor Profiles, thematic publications, and weekly policy updates) in close collaboration with Donor Tracker’s Digital Hub and Partnerships Hub Leads
- Lead the creation of cutting-edge thematic publications based on the latest trends in development policy and finance across the donor landscape, ensuring a highly engaging editorial style
- Plan and coordinate regular updates of Donor Profiles covered by the Donor Tracker
- Lead and develop a team of highly motivated donor country experts (in-house and external)
- Conduct donor analyses on a selected set of countries
- Strengthen existing content partnerships and build new ones
- Further develop Donor Tracker’s communications & media strategy
Key Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in global development policy and finance in a leading advocacy organization, think tank/academic institution, journal, multilateral, or consulting firm
- Fluent English speaker, strong writing and editorial skills, ability to communicate complex ideas and findings effectively and in a concise manner to an informed audience
- Proven track record of publications related to development policy and finance
- Expertise in development of content for digital platforms (e.g. blogs, commentaries, etc.)
- Understanding of digital marketing techniques and user analytics
- Knowledge of current debates in development policy and finance, including on financing flows and decision-making processes of OECD donor countries
- Expertise in global health, climate finance, education, gender, agriculture or other topics an asset
- Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate teams of policy analysts and researchers
