The BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt promotes responsible leadership and inspires leaders worldwide to work towards a peaceful, just, and sustainable future. Through our activities, we aim to advance the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
We are seeking a full-time employee for our Sustainable Finance team at our Munich office, starting on April 1.
The sustainable finance program area is responsible for the Foundation’s impact investment activities, maintaining an international network of decision makers and partner organizations. Through our programs and together with partners, we aim to strengthen the social impact of capital and promote exchange at the interface of business, politics, and society. We support the international sustainable finance ecosystem, address impact transparency and innovative financing instruments, and contribute to a sustainable transformation of the economic and financial system, through conferences, workshops, research, and leadership.
Your tasks – What we are looking for
You design and conduct dialogue formats, conferences, and workshops for leaders from finance, economy, politics, and society in general – and present their results.
You build new partnerships with Responsible Leaders, companies, political institutions, and international organizations, maintaining them over the long term. You thereby develop an understanding of each partner’s priorities, identifying opportunities for the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt to support their activities.
You develop, coordinate, manage, and take responsibility for projects, while supporting communication with stakeholders.
You use strong political acumen to help position the Foundation’s sustainable finance agenda at the heart of the political and policy discussion in Europe, amid the intense upcoming political context of 2022 (French presidency of the EU, German presidency of the G7, etc.).
You work in close cooperation with our Politics team to further reinforce the political dimension of the Foundation's sustainable finance agenda.
You prepare presentations, white papers, infographics, and reports, which will include synthesizing different viewpoints and exploring new topics.
You work intensively with colleagues on cross-sectoral projects.
Your profile – What you contribute
You have a Master's degree with a focus on sustainability (political science, economics, law, or a comparable degree).
You have several years of professional experience (2-5 years) in project management in program areas of international/European institutions, politics, and/or the NGO world.
You have gathered significant experience in network/account management and stakeholder engagement, especially in financial and political fields.
You have experience in event conception, coordination, and facilitation.
You have a strong interest in European financial and sustainability policy and a desire to contribute to the sustainable transformation of the economic sector, while enjoying bringing people together and facilitating interchange.
You are used to acting on your own initiative in an international environment and communicating in English. Another language, especially French, would be a plus.
You have strong communication skills and can balance different deadlines and priorities at the same time without losing focus.
You are technologically savvy and familiar with common MS Office applications. Ideally, you have had some contact with project management or database software.
Our offer – What you can expect
A dynamic, international, and professional team committed to a peaceful, just, and sustainable future in line with the UN Agenda 2030.
An appreciative corporate culture with a lot of responsibility, variety, and the opportunity to individually shape your professional and personal development with us.
Flexible working hours, home office, and 30 vacation days per year.
A unique workplace in our Foundation’s office on Munich’s Prater Island.
The opportunity to work on meaningful projects.
A fair, performance-related salary.
A 24-month full-time contract, with the aim of transforming it into a permanent contract at the end of the period.
