Crisis Action is looking for an
Entry Level HR Assistant
based in Berlin to support their HR team. Applicants should be native English speakers, highly reliable and excellent project managers.
The Role:
Crisis Action is a team of 40 people based in 12 different locations that works closely together to compel the most powerful people to protect civilians from conflict. Crisis Action is who its people are and what they do. We are therefore passionate about creating a highly dynamic and professional work environment that enables our staff to thrive and constantly grow. As HR Officer you are part of this amazing team. You work closely with the Chief of Staff and the HR & Organisational Project Manager and support them in developing and implementing HR related projects and delivering relevant HR functions for the organisation. You will provide support on day to day administration to the Chief of Staff.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supporting the Chief of Staff in her regular work.
- Supporting on developing and implementing new HR projects and initiatives including project management support in their execution.
- Researching HR laws, best practices and other relevant data and information.
- Supporting with drafting and editing relevant documents and preparing communication.
- Providing support on recruitments and onboarding of new hires.
- Updating databases and contact lists, mainly via Salesforce.
- Preparing expense reimbursement forms, and other financial or administrative documents.
- Organizing meetings and note taking.
- Working closely with the HR & Organisational Projects Manager and the Finance Team on HR matters.
Your Profile:
- 2-3 years’ work experience in HR.
- Native command of English.
- Strong writing skills.
- Proven track record of effective project management, and superb levels of organisational administration.
- Excellent computer skills, including: Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel.
- Absolute reliability and dependability, and the ability to take initiative.
- Keen attention to detail and quality control on all documents produced.
- Ability to work well under pressure, and respond to changing demands and priorities when required.
- Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion.
- Qualifications in HR.
- Knowledge of how to use Salesforce and/or Financial Force.
- Commitment to Crisis Action’s aims.
