SEEK Development, Strategic and Organizational Consultants GmbH is a strategic and organizational consulting group dedicated to driving progress and innovation in global development. We support leading institutions across the world in strategy and policy development, large programmatic and organizational evaluations, leadership and change-management, and strategic advocacy. SEEK’s sectoral focus is on global health, education and agriculture, functional focus areas include aid effectiveness, the global financing architecture for development and innovative financing approaches. Our clients include Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, GIZ, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, WHO, the World Bank, and many others.
We are currently looking for two interns for 3-6 months to support two highly exciting client projects which will both launch in March 2017:
- Position 1 – Support a leading German NGO on a major strategic initiative: We are supporting a large NGO that is an international frontrunner in protecting and advancing girls’ rights. We will work directly with the organization’s CEO and Board to develop strategic options for a new programmatic area based on interviews with key stakeholders in the field, a market analysis, and discussions with the client.
- Position 2 – Drive organizational change at a leading international organization: We are helping a leading international organization in the area of public health in their extensive change management process which will include country pilots, capability-building, and implementing a new approach to working with donors. We will work closely with leadership both at the HQ- and the country-level and are looking for an intern to help us drive this very important organizational development project.
You are looking for:
- An exciting internship in a stimulating work environment, solving the most challenging problems in global development
- Contributing to global development impact through high quality strategic and organizational advice to leading institutions, supporting global leaders, including heads of multilateral agencies, former heads of states, and Nobel Prize winners
- Gaining deep experience in analyzing data, developing strategies and writing of reports and briefings
- International work experience
We need:
- Understanding of current global development issues, for position #2 ideally knowledge of global health
- Solid research and analytic skills, including data analysis
- Strong writing skills, ability to synthesize complex policy issues into digestible briefings and concise policy reports
- Organizational talent
- Team player with a strong work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit and dedicated to client service in a fast-paced environment
- B.A. in social sciences, economics, public health or a related field
- Previous experience in a consulting role is an asset
- Position # 1 requires fluency in written and oral German (native speaker preferred) and English; Position #2 requires fluency in written and oral English. Second language is an asset
