foodwatch is a not-for-profit, independent consumer organisation. We expose anti-consumer practices in the food industry and fight for the right to safe and good-quality food. Our campaigns address a variety of issues, including consumer fraud, health protection, livestock farming and the planned free trade agreements. We are currently looking for a staff member for our online department in Berlin.
Copywriter/Web Content Coordinator/Website Projects (m/f)

Roles and responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include editorial work, the management of web projects and the evaluation of our online activities. One main focus of your work will be writing English content for the international foodwatch website. You will also be responsible for the ongoing conceptual development of the website and the coordination of activities with our offices in other European countries. The successful applicant will oversee technical changes and updates to the website, from the planning and testing process to the approval of the work and its editorial implementation. In this context, you will serve as the contact person for our agency. You will also be responsible for following good data-protection practice at all times.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in online publishing, ideally at an NGO
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to clearly explain complex issues to a general audience
- Proven experience in writing editorial content, particularly in English
- Excellent command of the English language
- Experience in project management and the use of content management systems, ideally Typo3
- Experience in online fundraising (e.g. Google AdWords), online campaigning and social media and a knowledge of Photoshop are a plus
