For the 1 in 6 people with arthritis in the UK, arthritis attacks what it means to live.

Arthritis Care and Arthritis Research UK merged on 1 November 2017 because we believe that together we can overcome the pain, isolation and fatigue of arthritis. The new charity, created by coming together, will combine the best of both and provide high quality arthritis care, arthritis research, a louder arthritis voice and greater funding for arthritis. We will invest in breakthrough treatments, the best information and vital support for everyone affected by arthritis. Our ambition is to integrate cutting edge research with the expertise and growing involvement of people with arthritis to make everyday life better for all 10 million people living with these conditions across the UK.

The next few years represent a unique opportunity for the charity to do more, more effectively, to positively impact on the lives of people with arthritis across the UK and everyone who works for us will have important role to play in our transformation.

It is an exciting time to join the charity as we look to how we can better support people with arthritis with real time, relevant, robust information and support that allows them to better manage their condition. This will include implementing a new digital asset management system and developing our new virtual assistant, incorporating cognitive computing to enable users to access personalised information in the way they want to receive it.

The content team play a vital role in these changes. They are responsible for producing high-quality relevant content on arthritis and related conditions for people with arthritis and healthcare professionals.
