Transparency International (TI) is the global civil society organisation leading the fight against corruption. In collaboration with more than 100 chapters worldwide and an international secretariat in Berlin, Germany, TI raises awareness of the damaging effects of corruption and works with partners in government, business and civil society to develop and implement effective measures to tackle it.

The Strategy and Impact Team at the TI Secretariat is responsible for facilitating the overall strategy and related processes, identifying barriers to achieving strategic objectives and evaluating approaches with potential to overcome these. The accreditation function is a critical process that ensures the internal governance of TI chapters around the world. It aims to ensure a strong, reputable and relevant TI Movement that fulfils its mission efficiently and in full abidance with the values that TI promotes, and in respect of the diversity and high independence of its constituents.

TI seeks a

Temporary Part-Time Assistant in the Strategy and Impact Team

Main function:

To provide administrative and logistical assistance to the Accreditation Coordinator in updating and maintaining the accreditation review system.

Starting date: As soon as possible

Duration: Until March 2019

Work hours: Part-time (approx. 20 hours per week, distribution of hours to be agreed)

Team: Strategy and Impact Team

Remuneration: Midi-Job (max. EUR 850 per month)

Location: Berlin, Germany

Responsibilities:

  • Update National Chapter and Individual Member accreditation database
  • Maintain up-to-date, organised and accurate electronic and hard copy filing systems
  • Support with the planning and scheduling of accreditation reviews
  • Assist in correspondence with and coordination of the TI Membership Accreditation Committee (scheduling and organising of teleconferences, taking of minutes)
  • Overall support of the Accreditation Coordinator’s work

Knowledge, experience, interests and skills:

  • Background in administration, management, compliance and/or other related fields
  • Experience in an office environment and in organisation of meetings and events a strong advantage
  • Business fluency in English required; proficiency in French and/or Spanish as an advantage
  • Solid computer skills (incl. Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word) and ability to quickly learn the use of software solutions/programmes
  • Strong organisational skills and an eye for detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and towards tight deadlines essential
