Job Title: Head of UK & Global Philanthropy

Location: London, UK, with occasional travel required

Salary: £45 – 50,000 p.a. 

Street Child, a fast-growing development and humanitarian INGO with education, child protection and livelihood operations in ten countries, are seeking a talented professional to lead our vital UK and global fundraising efforts from trusts, foundations and corporations. 

This senior management role reports to Street Child’s Global Fundraising Director but will also work intimately with the CEO and Regional Programme Directors.  You will manage a growing team of 8-10 FTE, plus interns, based mainly in Street Child’s London HQ but also in our smaller San Francisco and Barcelona locations, pursuing opportunities through Street Child’s 501(c)(3) and multiple European, as well as UK, registrations. 

We believe Street Child’s remarkable growth since our foundation in 2008, coupled with the power of our programmatic proposition, gives us a compelling narrative to take to trusts, foundations, corporates and other philanthropists. Street Child focus on helping the very poorest and most vulnerable children access education, on scale, with great value for money through low-cost/high-impact strategies underpinned by strong evidence and clear leveraging through significant support of prestige donors incl. DFID & UN agencies. 

The successful candidate will have:

  • An excellent track record of successfully prospecting, developing and winning large-scale pitches to win funds; including strong client/donor representation, management and relationship development;
  • Skills to design and deliver a successful high-level funding strategy, in strong coordination with the wider organisation (e.g. comms; progs)
  • Demonstrable ability to manage and grow a high performing team to deliver strong fundraising results; with experience of volunteer intern management an advantage;
  • The pragmatic, flexible, energetic and pro-active approach needed to thrive in this fast-growing, dynamic INGO working in some of the most challenging contexts in the world.
  • Strong commitment to Street Child’s ambitious, important goals and business approach.
