Transparency International (TI) is the global civil society organisation leading the fight against corruption. In collaboration with more than 100 chapters worldwide and an international secretariat in Berlin, Germany, TI raises awareness of the damaging effects of corruption and works with partners in government, business and civil society to develop and implement effective measures to tackle it.
Main function:
The Accreditation Officer supports the TI Membership Accreditation Committee (MAC) to ensure the MAC provides timely, well-informed and consistent advice to the Board of Directors on National Chapter (NC) Accreditation and Individual Member (IM) Appointment. The Accreditation Officer acts as an internal specialist to the accreditation process and provides assistance to the Accreditation Coordinator.

Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance to the Accreditation Coordinator in the process of NC accreditation and IM appointment
- Coordinate the MAC review calendar, prepare MAC meetings and provide timely follow-up to accreditation and appointment decisions
- Maintain the archive of accreditation questionnaires
- Help to ensure that consistent, effective registration and protection of the TI name and logo throughout the world is a standard requirement within the Accreditation Policy
- Contribute to the constant improvement of TI’s Accreditation and IM Appointment Policy while ensuring consistency and rigour in the process
- Support colleagues of various teams in the Secretariat in accreditation related matters
- Undertake administrative tasks related to the general day-to-day operations of accreditation work as required
Knowledge, experience and skills:
- University degree or professional qualification in social science, administration, journalism, economics, management, or other relevant fields
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience with an international organization working on project management, business administration or related
- Expertise in project management, knowledge management and monitoring and evaluation
- Knowledge of, or considerable interest in, the work of TI and the field of anti-corruption
- Sound understanding of TI National Chapter realities and of the TI accreditation process
- Knowledge of organizational / capacity development an advantage
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively manage priorities and competing demands
- Strong communication skills, particularly at distance communication
- Professional language proficiency in English required; additional languages, in particular, Spanish, French and/or Arabic an asset
- High level of intercultural competence, diplomacy and political sensitivity
- Commitment to the values and principles of Transparency International
