The Civil Liberties Union for Europe (liberties.eu) is looking for a Development Officer. We are a young but ambitious, Berlin-based European human rights organization, with the double identity of a network and an EU-level watchdog. We help our members, who are national-level human rights organizations, and as a watchdog we work on a range of civil liberties topics. Our headquarters are in Berlin, but we have a presence in Brussels.
We are looking for a new colleague who could help to make our organization grow, and who would help us to make our fundraising efforts more effective. Your tasks will include work with our supportive members’ drive, but also involvement with our foundation grants.
In an ideal case, you have some years of fundraising experience and you have seen NGOs from the inside. You are a team player but you are happy and ready to work alone as well. You are goal-oriented, innovative, quick, and not lastly you believe in rights and freedoms – not only in yours, but of others as well.
Our working language is English, but it helps if you have good written and spoken German as well. This is a full-time, Berlin-based position, with competitive salary and with the prospect of advancement.
