About the Centre for Feminist Foreign Policy (CFFP): We are an international feminist and women-led research and advocacy organisation focused on intersectional feminism and foreign policy. CFFP seeks to create lasting systemic change by rebalancing power inequalities that perpetuate an exclusionary, patriarchal foreign policy status quo rooted in colonialism, capitalism, and imperialism. Therefore, we promote people-centred policy and work to see an intersectional feminist approach to foreign policy adopted globally.
About the Role: We are beyond excited to announce that we’re seeking a project manager for our Berlin office (full-time as well as part time possible) to join us ideally from September/October 2020 onwards in smashing the patriarchy and creating systemic change.
We are looking for a driven, hard-working, kind-hearted, and highly motivated project manager who embraces our intersectional feminist mission and goals enthusiastically.
Based in Berlin, our self-starting, resourceful and highly adaptive project manager will contribute to advancing Feminist Foreign Policy by:
Developing and implementing advocacy initiatives and projects (including design, fundraising, and evaluation);
Producing and supporting succinct, analytical and well-researched policy briefs, articles, and reports especially addressing foreign policy, social inequality, conflict prevention and resolution issues;
Establish and maintain relationships with various national and international actors (government/parties/NGOs/media);
Providing efficient and varied administrative and organisational support, including controlling, management of our social media presence and logistical support ahead of meetings and travels;
Representing CFFP and advocating for CFFP recommendations in various settings (government/parties/NGOs/media).
Qualifications:
Exceptional commitment to social change and a can-do attitude as well as interest in working for a young feminist start-up with a very flexible and sometimes spontaneous work schedule;
A proven understanding of international relations/politics, in particular social inequality and drivers of violent conflict, and the intersection of foreign policy, feminism, and the key players in the field;
Demonstrable project managements skills, in particular experience and expertise in developing and implementing projects including fundraising, donor reporting and budgeting, and the ability to track progress against targets;
Strong organisational skills, ability to plan agendas and facilitate meetings, and communicate and synthesise information as well as willingness to complete administrative and organisational tasks;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, proven record of building relationships and ability to engage meaningfully with diverse audiences;
Excellent writing, editing, and analytical skills;
Strong time management, and ability and willingness to meet rapid, multiple deadlines in a fast-paced team-oriented environment;
Master’s degree in international relations/political science/security studies or related field and/or 3-5 years of relevant experience;
Fluency in English (German/French/Spanish is a plus).
