Swimsol developed the world’s first floating solar system for a marine environment. It provides solar energy for tropical island states like the Maldives where onshore space is scarce. The energy produced by Swimsol is non-polluting and, moreover, cheaper than the diesel generators commonly used on those islands. Three systems have already been installed in the Maldives.

Sales manager

Your Tasks:
We want to sign a contract for a 500-1000 kWp solar power plant within the upcoming year in the Maldives. Furthermore we want to enter other markets in South-East-Asia and the Pacific Region. In order to reach those goals you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Acquisition of new customers and customer service for existing accounts
- Management of the whole sales process: Contacting, requirements analysis, presentations, negotiations and after sales support
- Supporting the marketing team in creating and improving sales and marketing material
- Travels account for approximately 70% of the worktime, regular physical presence in our target markets for several weeks or months is required
Your Profile:
- Confidence, excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Interest in the product and the market, entrepreneurial thinking, taking the initiative, willingness to travel
- Excellent command of written and spoken English, skills in French would be an ideal addition
- Preferably experience in sales and project management
- Technical knowledge about solar power, storage systems and solar-diesel hybrid grids would be ideal
- Business experience in developing countries, South East Asia and Oceania is a bonus
