The WikiRate Project (http://wikirate.org) is an open data project, which aims to make company social and environmental impacts understandable and accessible through aggregation of standardised data, allowing a wide community to create metrics and ratings.
Job Description:
The WikiRate Project e.V. is looking for a
motivated intern
to work in its Berlin office, or remotely to research companies’ Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) performance through a set of standard indicators - making this data available to other researchers on the public wikirate.org website. The task involves analysis of Company CSR reports to source and generate data which can be analysed and used by people now and in the future to create public ratings of company performance on important environmental and social issues from Climate Change to Human Rights.
The role will involve researching new values for GRI-based metrics on WikiRate, and creating new metrics that follow this format.
The applicant should be naturally curious about companies’ social and environmental impacts and enjoy the process of working with data and contextualising it.
Required competencies:
- Strong command of written and spoken English
- Comfortable with using excel spreadsheets, templates
- Ability to research, question and consider approach
- Tech savvy and familiar with online work
- Interest in CSR
- Interest in Open data
